The duration depends on the stages involved and the number of revision rounds required. If the manuscript is not accepted in the initial stage, the response time is a maximum of one week. Otherwise, the total timeframe depends on the reviewers’ response time and the subsequent review stages, typically lasting between one and three months.

The journal welcomes submissions in the following areas:
-Ethical Issues in Accounting and Auditing: including professional ethics, ethics education, forensic accounting, fraud, financial corruption, and related topics.
-Islamic Accounting and Auditing: including the development of related theories in Islamic accounting and auditing, presentation of accounting models and auditing approaches for the optimal utilization of resources and prevention of waste and extravagance, development of theoretical frameworks and structures for Islamic reporting and auditing, development of accounting frameworks for Islamic banking, and accounting issues related to Islamic financial instruments.
The journal is published on a biannual basis (i.e., once every six months). The issues corresponding to spring and summer of each year are published electronically in the first half of October, while the issues corresponding to autumn and winter are published electronically in the first half of March of the following year.Printed copies of the journal are also available, with a maximum delay of one month after the electronic publication.
No. All stages of the journal’s publication process, including manuscript submission, peer review, and publication, are completely free of charge. Authors are not required to pay any fees for the submission, review, or publication of their articles.
Manuscripts are initially reviewed by the journal’s editorial staff in terms of their structure and compliance with the journal’s submission and formatting guidelines. If a manuscript complies with these guidelines, it is sent to the Editorial Board for preliminary evaluation (this process is completed within a maximum of one week).
Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines are returned to the authors (only once) so that they can correct the structural issues within the specified timeframe. Therefore, only manuscripts that meet the journal’s structural and formatting requirements are forwarded to the Editorial Board.
At the Editorial Board stage, manuscripts are evaluated in terms of their relevance to the journal’s scope and thematic areas, originality and novelty, lack of duplication, and the absence of major general deficiencies. If a manuscript meets the required academic criteria, it is sent to several expert reviewers for peer evaluation.
In this journal, to ensure transparency in the review process (which is conducted through a double-blind peer-review system) and to enable authors to become aware of reviewers’ comments promptly and have sufficient time for revisions, the results of each review become visible on the submitting author’s personal page as soon as each reviewer completes their evaluation.
However, the final decision regarding a manuscript is made only after all reviewers have completed their evaluations and the results have been reviewed and consolidated by the Editorial Board. Therefore, it is possible that one reviewer may recommend rejection of a manuscript, while other reviewers may suggest minor or major revisions. In such cases, the Editorial Board may decide that the manuscript should be returned to the author for revision, and the manuscript may ultimately be accepted after satisfactory modifications.
Accordingly, the final decision depends on the reviewers’ evaluations and the Editorial Board’s final assessment. Once the decision is finalized, the manuscript status on the journal’s website will be updated to one of the following: Rejected, Ready for Revision (requiring corrections), or Accepted.
